Contribute to the Books&More Fund each spring when you receive the announcement in the mail. We use this money solely to buy books, magazines, videos, musical CDs, and software that we could not otherwise afford. (Your contribution also makes you a member of the Guilford Library Association.) Membership in the Guilford Library Association (Books& More Fund)

Offer your time and special talents to the library. We always need help shelving adult and children's books. Or, you might like to work on special projects,
such as sorting donations for the Friends' Annual Book and Bake Sale.

The Friends is one of the largest, open, and most active volunteer groups in Guilford. They provide key reference materials and other books, special programs, equipment, staff development and hospitality, and run the library's annual Book and Bake sale. Membership dues and the sale raise more than $40,000 each year. Membership in the Friends of the Guilford Free Library

Give your used books and non-book items to the library. We accept tax-deductible donations throughout the year. If appropriate, your donation will be added directly to the collection. However, the majority of donated items are sorted and saved for the annual Book and Bake Sale in late September-the Friends' major fundraising event of the year.

All monetary donations are used to purchase books and other items for our collection. A donation makes a thoughtful gift for a birthday, anniversary, graduation, new baby, retirement, or to honor or memorialize a friend or loved one. You can sponsor the purchase of a specific book or an item in a particular category. A gift plate will be placed in that item in the name of the person you are honoring.
Your gift of cash or marketable securities helps
the library's endowment fund grow and can help you reduce capital gains assessments. We use the interest income from our endowment fund for operating expenses, including the purchase of new books. Call the Library Director at 453-8282 for more information.

Consider designating a modest percentage of your estate for the Guilford Free Library. Your planned giving now will strengthen the library for the benefit of future generations. Contact the Library Director, Sandra J. Ruoff for information.
When you join or renew your membership in the Library/Business Partnership, you help the library provide materials and services of particular use to local business people.
